The DIGI Partnership

We are a partnership of community organisations which support individuals and their communities in Gloucestershire to become digitally empowered.  Our aim is to better enable people via education, training and support to use their digital skills and access digital services to improve their lives, bridging the Digital Divide.

This partnership was originally formed as part of the Gloucestershire County Council-led Digital Hubs Project, working with key organisations; developing place-based hubs continues to be a key aspect of working with local communities.

Each organisation is embedded locally, working with the community in strength-based ways to unlock the power of their assets. We enhance community cohesion and value lived experience by facilitating peer-to-peer delivery and support.

Whilst we share a common aim, our strength lies in our differences, as each organisation brings a unique understanding of local conditions. We support grassroot connections and trusted relationships from across the county to provide bespoke support to those that need it at the right time and in the right place for them.

We facilitate a regular online and in-person forum to share experiences and best practice with each other, in order to increase growth, sustainability, engagement and impact within our partnership.

Our collaborative working builds on our relationships, committing resources, expertise and energy to achieve our collective aims and objectives as equitable partners.

Our partnership values

Action learning:

We provide a safe, non-judgemental learning environment that focuses on individuals by allowing them to learn and grow in ways that work best for them.

Community:

We work in partnership with communities to connect people’s strengths, passions and aspirations, building trusted relationships that support the creation of sustainable and resilient communities.

Collaboration:

We encourage collaboration between individuals, communities, organisations and groups to listen and evolve together, helping and supporting each other to achieve the goals and aspirations of our community. We aim to share resources and collaborate on initiatives that will increase awareness and knowledge of digital technologies.

Advocate:

We advocate for policies and funding that will promote digital inclusion and reduce the digital divide in Gloucestershire. This includes highlighting the barriers and opportunities to digital inclusion that many communities face.

Connection:

We believe in connecting with local people to form relationships and offer training and advice about things that matter most to them in safe informal spaces by people they trust.

Inclusion:

We facilitate accessible spaces and opportunities that provide and promote inclusion and community cohesion to enable positive interactions. We want everyone in their community to feel valued for who they are and what they would like to achieve.  We facilitate the environments that enable people to help each other.

Monitoring:

We will evaluate and monitor the outcomes and impacts of each partner and the wider partnership, and work together to report to our communities, funders and potential funders. We aim to learn together with all our stakeholders.

Health and wellbeing:

We promote the general wellbeing of individuals in an holistic way, improving resilience by enabling and strengthening connections to social care services and increasing the Digital Health Literacy of communities.

Innovation:

We are not afraid to fail, being flexible and willing to try new approaches to achieve our objectives. We connect with and contribute to the latest research into digital inclusion.

Co-design:

We are passionate about responding to hyper local needs, goals and aspirations to co-design innovative initiatives.  We support digital solutions to the things that matter most to people.

Transparency and Equity:

The spirit of true and equitable partnership working is underpinned by agreed process and procedure, with no one organisation making decisions on behalf of others or acting unanimously. One vote per organisation if decisions are not unanimous.

Problem Solving

Partners have open conversations around conflict resolution, encouraging a culture of challenge and response, to affirm the culture and values agreed to.
