Digital Champions Network

The free Gloucestershire Digital Champions Network was launched in March to bring together Digital Champions from across the county, and organisations who support.

The network is being co-designed with all the people working to increase Digital Inclusion, with common goals of empowering communities, creating links between people and places, creating peer support opportunities and, importantly, rewarding hard work and sense of achievement.

Organisational Support

If you are an organisation hosting Digital Champions, we can help you to assess skills and find areas for development for Digital volunteers. We’ll have access to Digital Champion accounts to provide training, along with a regular bulletin, containing stories of Digital Champions and tips and tricks to keep us all up to date in this swiftly evolving world. We can support with volunteer processes including DBS and safeguarding and it’s all free for organisations and volunteers.

Together, we can create a nurturing, supportive peer network of people working to decrease the digital divide.

The DCN offers:
• Face to face / online meetings
• Face to face training
• Access to online resources & info
• Regular bulletins

Become a Digital Champion

Thousands of people across Gloucestershire have never used the internet. Being a Digital Champion can be as simple as knowing how to download an app, send photos or fill in an online form.

You certainly don’t need to be an IT expert to share your skills with family, friends and local connections.  If you want to find out more about becoming a Digital Champion contact us for a chat.
