About Digi Hubs

The Digital Hubs project was set up to tackle digital exclusion across Gloucestershire. The project is currently facilitated through community partners across the county and works to increase digital inclusion by offering free, accessible, tailored support to individuals.

Each community partner is well connected within its community with a strong local knowledge.  We share an understanding of the barriers people face and a drive and passion to demonstrate how life changing it can be in becoming digital included and confident. Contact one of the partners for more information on their Hubs provision.

Support for skills and connection

M. is a 68 female in the Cotswolds who came along to a Chat and Connect group to engage with people and look for further support.  The engagement worker discovered that she was struggling to connect with family who lived away from the local area on-line – her Digi skills were low, and she lacked confidence in using equipment.

We booked an initial 1:1 session to show her the basics on a laptop and were able to provide her with a reconditioned device from ITSA.  Two further sessions were booked once it arrived to set it up and help her feel comfortable using the equipment.  M. reports an increase in her mental health as she can now reach out and manage video calls with family and friends.
